Using a 1935 rear end with some weld on shackle holders (puts spring on top of rearend). Also using 1946 rear brakes. Looks like I should have shaved more hight off of the tabs before welding on to rearend! Brake line is bent as tight as I can get it and it still touches the shackles. Not Good and looks like poo! Any suggestions, aside from cutting the tabs off and re-welding? Thanks 4 the help....

Brakes will be the last of your worries when those welds let go...

I would use a banjo fitting to avoid the clearance problem, go to a well stocked brake shop, they should be able to nut out the hardware to do this.

Tend to agree with max on that weld..looks mighty cold, and badly directed..hardly seems to touch the axle housing!

Oh another thing..If those shackles are the repro ones made in India,..throw them out. they will kill you.

I would pull it all apart, cut the perch down and re-weld..solve two problems at once!
