Hey guys, I'm building an AV8 and I was wondering if an F1 cross member already cut for a model a frame is worth $50? And what will I need to make it mate up with my 39 tranny? Thanks

 

Sounds fair to me, its a bit of a job just to remove one from a truck.

how does the transsmision mount to the cross member?

 

Here's a very early pic of my crossmember mockup. I used the stock truck mount that bolts to the crossmember and the later style rear trans mount with the "ears" that bolts to the back of the trans. This bolted up to the closed drive "A" rearend I used and should work with later V8 rears as well up to '48. Hope this helps! Regards, Dave
