Alright guys,... this has been weighing on my mind for a while now, So I thought we would try to collect some data..... Now I've never tried to do a poll before so we'll see how this works out..... I am trying to find out what will happen in the future of Traditional Hot Rods... are there enough young guys to carry the torch ?.....

So here is the question,.... Your a typical Traditional Hot Rodder,.... How old are you ?...... How many young guys, middle age guys, and old guys ?.. If I screw this up , Maybe someone can show me how to fix it.

You can just take the poll or add a comment to it,... Let us know about the age range of your car buddy's.... And the passion level of your friends as well as yourself,.... If you hang out with old grey hair galoots. Or if your mentoring the young bucks....

Seeing we can't "sticky" this. For a little while, maybe the comments will keep it up for a while....

  6. Most of my car friends are in the late 50's to late 60's range. But I also have some very enthusiastic traditional hot rod friends that are in their 30's. I must say it is good to see some younger folk get involved.

  8. With 26 guys responding to the pole it appears us greybeards are in the lead,,but I fear it ain't a good thing to be in this group! HRP

  9. I'll be 70 in Nov, only feel OLD when I roll of the sack in the early a.m.!
Hot Rod/Custom projects helps keep my the old blood moving!!
I have seen a lot of young folks 20's-40's at the car shows, that's a good thing.

26 here, and while my current build is not exactly traditional, I love traditional rods. That's the whole reason I hang out here so much.

I'll be 50 next month, and my best car buddy is my son who will turn 16 next month. He's a real traditional rod kid... loves flatheads in early Fords, wide whites, and can pick out the sound of Smithy's a mile away. Makes me proud!

    "61 to almost dead"?

You should have balanced that with "Still shitting yellow to 25"

Just turned 70...some of us older guys may not be able to wield a wrench as we used to (tendonitis, etc.) but we can pass on our enthusiasm to younger generations (though I have completely failed with my 2 sons-in-law!!)

I'm 62, my Grandson is 15 months old and will get to finish all my projects. Found my '30 Roadster body in 1962, yes progress has been slow. Bob
