I saw this coupe for sale a while ago...I love this the look of this ..I think its a 30....does anybody know who owns it now?...would love to hear all about it!!
I don't know who owns it but Im with you....its perfect. Maybe a little chop top will make it even better.
...........................................As much as I like 'em whacked, I would have to leave this one just as it is.
Looks very familiar to my '30 AV8 coupe with full fenders. I like em just like this, simple but clean.
Man I love your 30..I'm transforming a 31 right now, I want to make it something inbetween yours and the 30 that started the post....it was an 80's half ***ed street rod and I'm brining back to more traditional condition...first thing was to change out the mustang II front clip, now one thing has lead to another..its a complete rebuild at this point..heres what I started with...hoping to end up with something like urs...I spray lacquer in my guitar biz..thinking of giving it a true lacquer finish, then aging it back somewhat to give it patina
I asked them a couple months ago if they had it for sale, but they had sold it...maybe it will surface here
Mark, no, I didn't shoot the video. I found it online. I think I did a search for "Model A-V8". I saved it in my favorites. It's perfect.
. That white paint doesn't look too bad Mark...better than fake patina imho....enjoy your car regardless !
That is my old 29 coupe I built - I am sure of it. Lives in Oceanside Ca. Owned by a friend of mine now
Is the any chance of me getting his info? Any possibility that the car may be forsale? I've been looking for a 29 hiboy coupes on 32 rails with flathead power.
I agree about the fake aging of some of these hotrods today...the key to making new paint look old is to use lacquer, not the poly paint used to spray cars today..the lacquer can be worked with certain tecniques to look worn if done right....also dont go over the top, just age it here and there in places that normal wear occurs...give it some chips and checking and sometimes its hard to tell new from old....the finishes guys are trying to use dont lend well to aging..too pliable...I agree..nothing looks worse than obvious fake patina.. I've done some smaller pieces like dash panels, window garnish, radiator shells, etc. they turned out respectable..so I'm kinda lookin forward to tackling my coupe..
