Folks Of Interest Axle info ?

I know it is a wavey Mopar tube axle. But what application would it be used on. And explain why you would do it this way. And how it works with examples. It is made to use Ford spindles. @vtx1800

 

Kinda remember old dragster picture with cross torsion bar arms hooked to the axle and one bottom link to chassis.

 

Yep, used in a dragster.

 

I found it at the Lincoln swap meet for $35.

 

Looks like the mystery is solved

 

I was gonna use it in this to replace the factory independent front suspension. But might save it for another project? The axle has too good of workmanship to cut it all off.
