Customs Ayala '42 tribute update

    Great progress Dave!! I cant wait to see it come together ! Thanks again for the skirt pattern there's a pic of it on my 47 thread....hey if ya need help sanding send me a plane ticket I could use some time off work :D:D

    Finally got some work done on the car that shows some progress.All in primer and blocked.I set the grille in just for the pics,once installed it will sit in the cavity more.I will be spraying the dash,garnish,and the backside and under the doors and the jambs as well....yes it will be the blue(audalisite blue) that Memo I.D.ed for me after showing him samples.will post those pics on monday...hopefully.I hope you enjoy these.

    This is one of my favorite kustoms of the era. Glad to see it coming along so nicely. Keep up the amazing work, and cant wait to see some color on it

    I will not have it ready for Motorama like I envisioned.I tried..but no cigar.thanks for all the good vibes.can't wait to spray some color on it also....,Still Monday then.

    here is a update.when i sprayed the dash i also sprayed the window areas,since i plan on driving the car a bit before i complete painting it.Wiring is close to completion and most of the gl*** is in,sans the doors.I also picked up a Consew sewing machine..i will be sewing..that is me and the wife,doing the interior.

    Do you have any more pictures of the fenders welded to the body after the primer was applied, I dig this build keep up the good work!

    I am jealous Dave :D It looks like you are getting close to that first spin around the block eh! Any tips for cutting and fitting the front gl***?

    Hey Steve,ya it's getting close.as far as the gl***,I had 3 guys helping,on a recommendation from a fellow Hambr.2 pcs of gl*** moves around a bit so the extra help is great.

    Here is a few update photos.all wired and running.a few tweeks and adjustments and should hit the streets for a shake down run,NEW YEARS DAY!....finally.Oh ya,i know it's to low in front,thats one of the adjustments that need to be made.Hope you guys enjoy.:D

  27. Lookin good.......... I know it is a custom but it is honoring an Ayala car so I have to ask.......... are you planning on dropping a Evans powered Hopped up mill in this car? I usually wouldn't ask but to me, the Ayala's were just as much into what was under the hood as they were the looks of the car.I have been wanting to ask you for a while.

    Unfortunately,i already had the frame and engine done when i decided to go with a tribute to the Ayala '42.Though I agree with your point .

    Is that why my light is "PINK".what a relief.I'll see if i can figure out how to get rid of that.:D
