B and M engine, Conroe, TX..anyone deal with them?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by hillbilly, Aug 13, 2007.

  1. I was just wondering if anyone on here has dealt with B and M engine from Conroe, TX?

I purchased an intake manifold from them on eBay, never received a message from them, even after I paid...I called them last week and they said it shipped Tuesday, said it was lost but they found and shipped it...no biggie, had that issue myself before...

    The intake I purchased

Today, still no big brown truck at the house, I called them asking for a tracking number, and was told they'd call me back in the morning.

I thought I'd take a gander at their "eBay store" inventory...lo and behold, there's a photo of the intake manifold I won more than a week ago for sale, with 5 days and some odd hours left?

here's the link to what looks like the same intake...

An oversight? UPS screwing something up? Possible, I've had issues when shipping things before too, most recently a problem with an intake I sent to a HAMB'er in England...I'll never ship overseas items through the USPS again...what a headache! The fellow who recieved it was rightfully concerned, as it took quite some time for it to get there...wound up going to norway or something, then back to the states...then finally to the right address.
This is a totally different situation, if they've taken my money, and placed the item up for auction again, isn't that some kind of fraud?

  2. that is some kind of fraud. but it is possible that they manufacture this part and just have a lot of them to sell. do you have a phone number? where are you located? ill hope the best for you.

  3. No, they don't manufacture that part, it's an OEM piece. They sell used parts from all kinds of stuff...I'm hoping it's just some kind of oversight. I have their phone number and called them, about 40 minutes ago, before I discovered the identical photo on the same description listed in their store, posted after I paid through paypal.

I paid on July 27, it was told it would be here aug 4, then was told it didn't ship, but would be here the 10th....

I called asking for a tracking number, to which the fellow on the other end of the line said he'd take my number and call me back in the morning. I'm tempted to contact eBay about my concern, not to cause trouble for the guy, but to see if THEY can get to the bottom of it. The "30 day clause" he has listed in his auctions...maybe he's pushing to make things wait that long to avoid refunding my money?

Haven't dealt with them, but maybe you should read the feedback left by those who have.

  6. See...I have this issue when it comes to complaining about things like this, because stuff CAN and DOES happen...I'm not perfect either..that whole "do unto others as you'd have them do unto you" thing...gah! I try to be "good," really I do...and refrain from taking a road trip with violent intentions like an earlier time in my life...

I wouldn't tell someone something had shipped out before it had though, and then post it for sale AGAIN...

  7. Okay, I think it might be resolved, for now, LoL! I just received the following e-mail from him:

I am sorry, but whoever said this shipped was intending to get it out that day. I have this on the packing shelf and ready to go out Tuesday. You will also get a tracking number when this goes. I do have several of these and they may have loaded the same pic as we have done by accident and on purpose for repeat items. If you have any questions, feel free to call me at toll free XXXXXXX . I guess I will blame this on stupidity and the heat (102) today. Thank you, mike

I removed his phone number to protect his privacy...I guess I should write him back now and make myself feel better...I hate having a conscience sometimes. It's 104 here today..and the heat isn't helping me at all...

Ya, I hear ya. I have a feeling they're honest folks. It may just take them longer to get around to it. Knowing the feedback before hand helps you to brace yourself for their way of doing business.
