Technical B&M F5 adapter

    used to mate an olds hydro to a ford Y block. anybody got one or one of the pieces? i could use detailed photos and measurements to make my own. help an asshole out.

    thanks, i don't see a hydro listed. i'll give them a call to see if they can steer me in the right direction

    Check in with the Hydro Group here on the HAMB. There was a Ford adapted Hydro stick for sale in the classifieds as well, but I think it was for an FE, and I don't know enough about Fords to know what fits what with them.

    FEs and Ys are not the same on the back end.

    B&M used to do 'in house' mods of everything Hydra Matic. Then, something changed...

    Sometime in the early '50s, Ford Motor Co's supplier of Ford and Merc-O-matic transmissions had a huge fire, and for a couple of years Fords and Mercs (Lincolns also?) came with Cad/Olds type Hydra matics. I used to service some of those during my apprenticeship, recall seeing a couple of them at the wrecking yard. (1960 or so)
    If there was a factory bell & flex plate to be had, that would be your solution.
