Been trying to get thru to B&M for two days, nobody must work there.I hope somebody here can help.
I am using the Sport Shifter on a Ford C4 tranny. What gear should the trans be in so the B&M gear selection lever will hang straight down and move equal distance forward a back .I am haveing a hell of a time getting this shifter adjusted right.

  4. Hang down?
Do you have the correct brackets for the C4?
I found these images to get an idea of whats you got going on.

  6. Yep.

Put the shifter in park and the trans in park... in that position, the little fitting/bolt/heim should be adusted so it fits in the hole on the lever perfectly.

Then, to make sure you have the correct length arm, put the trans and shifter all the way into 1st gear... and remove the fitting/bolt/heim and it should fit/slide into the hole on the lever perfectly again.

If for some reason there is tension to get it to go together in 1st, you have the wrong length lever on the trans.

If you are working with all of the parts that came with the shifter and trans... or if your lever has multiple holes, this shouldn't be a problem.

Post pics or send me a PM if you need any more help!

    Yep there the correct one.
B&M instruction says to have there gear selection lever pointing down and it should move equal distance fore and aft. What I need to know is what gear should the tranny be in before I bolt the gear selection lever on the tranny so it point stright down.

Follow what the fellas said, put it in PARK. No sharp bends, keep away from heat. Lube the cable from top to bottom. Esp. if it will see winter/lots of rainy weather.
