I'm searching for an answer from you rodders from back in the 60's. What regulated a factory car to run B/Modified Stock cl***ification in the mid 1960's? Thanks for the help.

    gal-

I'm virtually certain there was no such cl*** - at least not in the NHRA. Some local tracks had there own rules back then, so it may have been something like that.

In the NHRA, there would have been B/Modified Roadster, and B/Modified Sports, but no such thing as "Modified Stock".

I'll check my copy of the '67 rulebook tonite when I get home, but I'm 99% certain that a Modified Stock cl*** didn't exist.

i agree with the other post, i don't remember a modified stock cl***. There was modified production MP, and modified roadster MR and modified sports MSp, at least with NHRA. I went to the drags alot beginning in 1964 until about 1972.

Just settled an argument between me and my old man. Sounds like he was speaking of MP. Thanks
