What are the grab straps mounted on the B pillar on late 40's and 50's GM cars called? Does anyone know of a source for them for a 49 Buick Super or Roadmaster?

Yup...had an elderly lady, maybe 80ish years old poke her head into our '36 Ford sedan about 20 or so years ago. She looked over and said "you removed them"...I asked, "removed what?"...she responded with a somewhat shyish grin " the ankle holders!"... apparently she had some fond memories.
