I left for awhile but now im back again , my last go around the car i built wasnt the right fit for HAMB so left. now im working on a 51 ford shoebox and i have lots of question and need lots of part ,hope this time around my car is or will be a good fit for hamb and can get the input from other members to make my 51 a fun car. the car is a 1951 ford custon tudor 2 door and when i got the car it had a locked up flathead with a 3 speed/overdrive that i still have. with the help of shoebox central ive gone through the brakes and added a power brake booster 302/AOD and modified the 3speed linkage to work the AOD. ive also dropped the front with new progresive springs and shocks and bump stop with camber kit front and rear sway bars and 2" lowering blocks for the rear new gas tank and working on re wiring the car. oh new exhaust duel and thats where im at the body is in good shape with only a few wiskey dents in it chrome is a nightmare. plan is to use 49-50 led tail lights frenched in. thinking on moving the custom badge from the front fnder to the back of the door and 50 stainless to the back. shave and fill the rest and the side spears also the trunk smooth off the trunk light and key and use a remote trunk pop and lic plate with a light in it. flat black with lots of pin striping is what i see and all origanal interior new. im looking for 49 bumpers front and rear that are good drivers i already have tires hancooks on the steel rims with beauty rings and crome lug nuts so pics and more to come.
I would like to get the top of mine chopped but it's out of my skill set and don't know who to trust in Austin
