Projects Back, but not in black

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by hillbilly, Dec 2, 2013.

  1. It's been a while since I posted anything, those who were here in the "old days," i.e. pre-2000 might remember me, so hello again to my old friends...

Things have been tough since Dad passed in 2010, I have taken on the responsibility of taking care of my elderly Mother, it proved too much for the spouse unit, and the attorney payments have been a pain in the butt. On the bright side, I'm back at the parts store for now, and was elected Constable in my township, the constable gig doesn't pay but it forces me to keep my mind off the bad stuff.

    Time for some four-wheeled therapy...

I know, I know..."oh no, not another four-door post," That's why I put this in "traditionally styled and not one of the other categories.

She's rough now, but po' folks start with what they can.

The chieftain is gone to someone who has the time/means to be the new steward, this mainline is darned near perfect underneath, someone started restoring it quite a while back, low mileage rebuild on the 215, and plans are just to do a simple mild kustom treatment: at most a 12v conversion, mild lowering, simple stuff. We know how that goes though, right?

This build will be slow, the economy sucks, but for now we're still free to build/rebuild/resto-rod some vintage tin :D

Be seeing y'all more from here-on-out!

  2. Glad to hear you're doing alright, even if you have been through hell in the mean time. I remember hanging out with you and HemiKat back in the Ft. Smith days.

Wasn't it you that took that awesome photo of the lightning over the motel?

  3. Yes sir, that would have been me, that seems like forever ago.
