Tonight was s****ping the last of the undercoat of the whole car.It was hood time. As going thru the motions,i actually thought of the person spraying it on the line=weird I know. I've called them many names, and have said what the F many times questioning why they did this ,or did that. What i immediatelly realized is that it was someone who's a father, brother, sister,a provider,a supporter,a worker..... that is all of us for the most part.
Reason I *****ed at them cause i've filled ten (10) paper shopping bags full,=no ****, of undercoat that i've removed already.
I think when I'm done,it will be about 12 total.
i've pulled pieces off as thick as 3/4 inch, and that does not make for rust free body parts.
i have to salute them for doing what they did,all day long,everyday....
i'm sure they never thought what the hell those cars would end up as being in the future.I mean,it was just a car to them.
if your still with us,thanks, and laugh at my *****ing.:)

Same here. I pulled the rear end out to de-arch and rebuild my leaf springs. While it's apart and on jackstands I decide to clean up and paint the framerails. That leads to replacement of gas and brake lines and removal of gas tank which leads to undercoating removal which leads to....

Anyway, I've had great success with a dull air chisel (with glancing blows) instead of the heat gun method. So far I've filled a 12 gallon shop vac with about 40 pounds of that ****.

The question now is what to do next. I'm thinking of undercoating the wheelwells only and painting the floorpan and gas tank. What are you doing after removal of the undercoating?

Probably the same under the tops of the fronts. POR 15'ed the whole inside, but you never know when a rock will catch and shoot upwards.I've spent HOURS s****ing this ****,but need some kind of protection just in case. The undercoating should absorb some shock to where the POR dries hard.Any suggestions are welcome.
