Event Coverage Back to the Fifites 09

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Stick Shift, Jun 21, 2009.

  1. I didn't attend this year (it's too damn big) but I've looked at a thousand photos from there. These are the only two I saved. :)

  2. Scott, thanks for all the great pics, a few of those cars belong to friends of mine, like that chop'd 34 coupe with the set-back Hemi; it's one of my all-time favorites.
Someone should shoot it for a magazine.

Those small block Chevy guys will do anything to make their motors look like real hot rod motors. My 21 year old kid spotted it right away.

  4. I think I took more pitures of that car than any other. It was really a fresh mint breeze. :D
    Very cool car!

  5. I'm gonna try to camo my chebby injun :D. You guys are a bad influence:p ;).. The shame of having
    SBC syndrome:(

  6. This lil gem was hidden behind the DNR bldg.

Thanks for the comments guys. JohnnyFast that touring was one of my favs too. I took a few pics of it but only posted those two. Gave me an idea for mine.

I wondered how long it would take before someone would say something about the ardun. There was another car there with one and a kid asked us what the motor was. He did not have a clue. We had to explain it to him a couple of times and then he walked away. lol

I dont think i have the right nor the skills to talk s*** about anybody but if you look at the 'plate you'll see this is apparently built by a famous street rod builder/company and its not so surprising afterall. In my opinion, as much as i dont like fake anything, the wheels are the worse part of this potentially kool ride.
    Just my 0.2 eurocents

BTW, i also love the De Soto mintgreen "bubbletop" coupè. Unique!
    Thanx 4 sharing, Nick.
