I got a letter from MSRA last week on camping. You must pre register for camping in the south lot. Here are the key points they list.

    1. You must register for all 3 nights

    2. Camp sites will be pre -assigned according to the postmark on the receipt of your application form.

    3. NO “swapping” of sites when you arrive.

    4. 170 total sites, 50 with electricity.

    5. You must register as a group if you want to be together. (Maximum of 3 unites).

    6. A confirmation letter with your pre assigned site number will be mailed to you.

    7. NO PETS ALLOWED IN CAMPGROUND.

In order to accommodate your needs, we ask that you return the registration form no later than MAY 14, 2005. There will be no refunds after this date!

As indicated above, there are 50 sites with electricity. The cost of pre-registering is $100.00. This will guarantee you a site in the SOUTH CAMPGROUND ONLY for 3 nights/4days. Check-in time will begin on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. SHARP! The pre-registration will be based on first come first serve basis.

I can fax you a copy of the forum on Monday if you want.

I'm not sure who is in charge of camping but I've dealt with Ted Jacobson a few times he is in charge of vendors but he is on the board and is very helpfull with everything MSRA. Email or pm me and I'll give you his phone #

  3. Thanks Eyeball. That's a little pricey to just park your tent or teardrop. Do they send that form to you when you complete the event pre-registration? Maybe that's why I'm not getting an answer...

The last time I was at St.Paul the campground was on the NE corner of the grounds; where is it now?

    WOW this thread changed.....sorry.

Dick Rutheford (sp?) the out of state rep is also involved with camping and has helped us through the BULLSHIT the last few years.

As far as I know they only sent it to those who had camped in the past.

Also I am not sure if the NE lot will be open at all this year and if it is it will be for volunteers and the MSRA hierarchy.

  6. Thanks Eyeball, I proceed accordingly.

where do I sign up? Seriously

ahhhh, I would eat the footlongs with extreme caution. Heres why (and I kid you not): A few years ago my dad was eating one, bit down on something hard, took it outta his mouth and.........HOORAY! there was a tooth in his hotdog!

    I cant wait!

    Youll have a blast!

I live really close to the fairgrounds so i dont get to have all the fun camping, so i get in line to get back in the grounds at about 10:00 the night before and sleep in line in the car, last year i got interviewed and was on the news, it was funny, people kept coming up to me saying "hey we seen you on the news this morning!" It was funny.

    again, I cant wait
