  1. I'm 84 years young. Does that make me a good catch?

Looks like they made at least one 1942 Woody. This pic showed up in one of @AVater 's posts on the recent "Hershey Still The Best" thread. Lettering on the driver's door indicates this was in service with the U.S. Navy but it looks pretty well dressed up, more like a civilian model.

Did some tune up work to it. Got some nice patina Washington 1942 plates for it. Yanked the spaghetti noodle battery cables off and used #00 welding wire and made new cables. Added missing straps between frame and motor. And she spins over like a top now.
Took it out for its first drive and she’s a gem. Lots of lookers and even made an old guy crash into a garbage can as he gawked at the car and not where he was going. lol.

friend even gave me a fully restored wonderbar radio for it as a gift.

I am definitely liking the running and driving project vs a full build.

Maybe someone can help. I am missing the linkage from the end of the Throttle “T” knob on the dash to carb, and can’t even find pics. I ***ume this is an old school cold weather idle raise or even a crude cruise control? It sticks out of the firewall and moves with the knob just not connected to the carb.

Another question for the m***es. Stopped at the gas station and filled it up with some stabilizer on it for the winter. And when I took the cap off the fuel tank boinged like it was under a vacuum. No vent line that I can see on diagrams etc. and have been getting conflicting answers whether the cap should be vented or not vented. I can see if it remained in a vacuum without a vent it may starve it for fuel. So anyone know what is correct? Thanks

You need a vented cap for your car. I am almost positive that tank had no vent, other than the cap.
