So I was at Hot Rod Ch***is last night and I took some pics since I left my camera at home for Garage Days (Doh!!)

Backseat Betty is coming along. I designed some nose art for the cowl. It's gonna be rad. The owner's Dad flew B-25s in the war.

Picked up my new bike that I traded my Ducati for to a buddy. Cyclebilly had to take care of a few things for me. Thanks Bobby, it rides great!

I wish Al! Hey, the chevelle was my first (ok, second car but I was 17 and chevelles were cheap in the 70s/80s) car and the 5 window was Dad's first car, so they don't count!

Let's just say I am making up for all those years in my first marriage (hell) that I lived in Chicago with no cars. None. Nada. (my Dad was heartbroken and luckily has a HUGE barn) Until I finally got my first bike in '95, and bikes only until I got divorced in '99. I'm trying to build up enough inventory that I don't have to buy anything when the first baby comes. Smart planning is the key! hahaha.

That's a throttle ***embly out of a warbird. Not sure if it's a transport or bomber, but no matter. If I can remember... the big one is choke, the next one is main power and the right one is ignition I think. Not really a theme car, but it is getting some cool aircraft "surplus" type touches. The gas gauge is from a B-25 with left and right tanks... so the car will have a left and a right tank. And of course some *****in nose art designed by yours truly. :D

Car looks great! the 37 and 38 Plymouths had some great front grills! Good use on the A!

  17. yeah, thats looking ****ing rad, nice job.

  18. Grille is late 30s Mopar maybe 1937 PLYMOUTH. Excellent choice, my compliments to whomever. Same goes for the lights.

Are the aircraft throttles going to be functional?

You have a throttle control, a choke and a control to adjust the pitch of the propellor when you want to feather it.

    what are all the levers...????

    Power lever (throttle)
mixture (lean/rich settings for economy or power)
prop governor (change prop pitch for max torque, cruise, etc)

I dig it! Awesome build. Guess everything I ever thought of and all the stuff I been collecting for it has already been done. Oh well, I'm still gonna do it.
Love the use of aircraft parts. Lightening holes in the shifter, all that is way cool. Did I say nice job?
