Count another who knows a bit of Riverside Juvi. A name from the past though, I didn't know Troy in Juvi but it isn't surprising to know he was an ass as a kid too. I heard he was on dialysis for all of the steroids he took. Going from a job at PJ's sporting goods in Tyler Mall to CVS. Nice to know karma may work.....
Not much can get those kids motivated as Jesse knows. You gotta be someone they can relate to to have any effect and for them to give a damn you are even there. It's fortunate that they and Jesse both recognize and respect the situation and that they are coming together and doing something about it to which Jesse is owed the credit of wanting to do the gig. If you ain't curing cancer I'm not going to fanboy out on anyone I save that for real hero's, but I do respect the achievements of a job well done and respect earned. With that said, good job on remembering the community Jesse. It's a good example of why you deserve the success you have.
I have a kid in class who is called to the asst. principals office dang near every day. Before and after his visit to the office he literally is hanging on every word of our disuccssion, I can only hope that working in the shop is giving him something to come to school for... Working with these kids might not give immediate gratification but I have to hope it is making a positive impact, thanks to all of those who take the time to reach out to the kids-
man we stole my best friends moms ride to go cruise on magnolia a cop seen us flipped around and we tride sneaking though the hospital to get out of there. he was waiting for us. pulled me over right on the corner i think that street was garfield. he was cool as hell though i was 14 and every else was 14 and 13. one fool was passed out in the back seat stoned off his ass. we told him we were coming from church, on a friday night we were so stupid we didnt even know what a registration looked like. we just gave him all the papers in the glove box. he told me "you either walk over to the front of the juvi hall and call some one with a lic to drive this car home or i'm gonna walk you in it. i ran to it and called my brother. we sat on the curb waiting and he would drive by to make sure we didnt just take off like fools. we all had to pay my brother off and i got a $200 dollar ticket. the good ol days. my sister worked for lowes when they opened it. she said there was so many spooky things that went on when they were getting stocking it at night to get it ready to open. i guess from all the dead people that died there at the hospital. by the way is this the guy that use to punk you jesse http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5GoQWMtZi8
You're right it's so different. When I cruised Market and Magnolia I used to stop at George's at 1 or 2 o'clock in the moring to eat.My skateboarding friend(Mike Coco) used to live in a small apartment next to General Hospital, which are gone too!
This thread is hitting home. I went to Juvi for stealing a skateboard from PJs in the Tyler mall. Parents got me right out and had to go to the "scared straight" thing they do there. We used to ride our bikes through the mall there all the time. I should have been in Juvi alot more, but never managed to get caught.
Wow the full side photo of Jesse's Merc is awesome!Black and straight as a pin.Its obvious he knows perfection .
Beautiful Merc. What you are doing for those kids is great. If you are only able to make a positive influence on one, it was worth it.
And I think it would be real cool to work for Jesse James. I've been in juvi before.(not a cool place at all) That's real cool to do that for the kids.
Well said DeuceMan. I, like others, am digging the chit out of that Merc. Simply fuggin bad arse and hot as nails. I saw a show recently that showed Jesse and the trophy truck on the street. I think it was the same show, and it showed some cars in the workshop with the red floor. I just remember a 49-53 Chev/GMC red truck that looked spotless. I'd love to see more of that truck.
