Bad Ass 32 bodies

Anybody on here have any experience with Bad Ass Rods bodies out of Georgia?I've got a chance to get a complete 32 3 window body for a good price.I know it ain't Henry steel but 3 windows are rare around these parts.

 

i have a 5 window from them and like it. thats the same body hot turky has also mine cost $3800 then i went and picked it up

 

The one I'm looking at looks good.It's got a good amount of steel bracing inside.The gelcoat looks smooth and it has steel in the floor to mount the seats.The body is complete from the grill shell,3 pc. hood,fenders,running boards,dash,interior mouldings, all glass,fiberglass headliner,and the doors and trunk are hanging.I can get it with a 350 turbo trans, a 9" rear end,and a new set of frame rails with boxing plates for $5000.Everything is still wrapped in the factory plastic,never been on a frame.

 

Heck, all that for $5K you, at the worst, will have a good lesson in correcting faults and know your way around a fiberglass body, and still probably end up with
a very presentable car.
Do it.

 

Can't talk about fiberglas bodies here, you can build a complete car out of aluminum but for some reason there is an allergic reaction to fiberglas, I feel that if you put together a nice trad. looking rod it should be at least considered for thread discussion, fiberglas, aluminum, steel, whatever. I think a Bad Ass glass body if done right is going to make a nice car and they make nice stuff. Just my opinion before this gets closed, and it will!!!

Are they better than Street Beasts?

Judging from previous threads on here about Bad Ass rod bodies I would advise you pick it up yourself, settle any and all disputes / issues before you leave with it, and pay cash.

Not trying to mind your business or tell you what to do. Google is your friend.

 

I've been to their shop. They do a pretty good all around job. Glass work is chopper gun, but done very well. Hinges and bracing is better than average. You can spend a lot more and get much less quality from other companies such as Street Beast.
For the price, I think it's a terrific product. Be sure to take the ride and pick it up yourself and eliminate any shipping problems.

 

Thanks for the input guys.I think it's a pretty good deal but I just wanted somebody else to tell me it was.5 grand is a lot of money to a poor boy and I'm still putting together my 29.I just don't want to look back one day and say damn I let a good one get away.This is one of those deals where a guy bought a body and frame rails and was gonna build him a hot rod.Well after pricing everything else that it takes to go with it he lost interest in it.Now he's just out to re-coup as much as he can.

 

I bought a 32 Ford 3 window from them. Very solid body. Pleased with them. Didn't have any problems, better than fighting rust and patch panels.

 

Don't over look Barry's killer ride which is based on the Bad Ass body,,it's a beauty!

Granted it's a 5 window but he did a killer job on the build. HRP
