Update!!!
I was asked again,to put my Merc in the DCX Diecast and RC Show in Long Beach. It's next weekend,sat and sun. My Merc will be in the M2 booth right when you enter the show. If you happen to go,look for me...i'll be cruising around taking in the sights,hahaha!

 

Just got home from droping off my Mercury at the RCX show. Parked over by Larry Wood,the Hotwheel designer. Looks like it will be a fun show.....There's even a really cool slotcar set-up.

 

Saw ya on the 91.

 

The boss let me off early so I could get it in the building. I had to get in before all the booth and racetracks got set up.

That's the second encounter I have had with George. Last time was at the GNRS,2007 when he was being followed around by a camera crew and he stopped and ran his hand down the sail panel of my Merc and said "this has nice lines". I called slddnmatt and told him "George Barris just said he likes your work!".

There was a booth with tether cars,and some of our own Crazydaddyo had some of his collection on display! These are FANTASTIC!!!

They have these foam rubber tracks that all hook together like garage flooring. Here's one of the smaller ones...
