I just installed a Chevy points distributor conversion that Jim shipped to me last week. Started up perfectly. I just wish he would have sent a bottle of that hot sauce everyone raves about!

  6. Not only did the distributor in the Chemical City Coupe get reworked by Bubba, but he also makes the best damn SPAM sandwich ever! :D

  7. I would have no problem sending my parts to Jim, on that thought I have a flathead crab style dist. that I need to get in the mail.

It takes a big man to admit when he's wrong. I applaud that. That said, I hope to have Bubba redo my Flamethrower when the time comes.

Jim is a " made man" around here. We would be here all day if every story of good service, help and free advice were to be told.

I've always received fast, friendly service from Bubba's. My go to shop for electrics.

Well, I got the problem, heard from both sides and the OP seems satisfied with the explanation/apology. But, a happy ending? A happy ending in my book would be the OP getting his repaired parts back, even in an untimely manner. As it is, he has an apology, a year wait, but no parts.

He's tops with me and everyone I know. I'm sure there's a clear explanation here.

Tell me, so I can tell my brother-in-law. He eats that **** all the time and I'd like to mess with him. :D

On the subject of Bubba's - A couple of years ago he was generous with me by taking the time to discuss my options when I had some questions. I appreciate that and even though I didn't buy anything at the time, I will. I consider him the "go-to" guy when it comes to hot rod ignition. He has a very good reputation and I'm sure this issue will be worked out.

  21. No man is perfect ...

I met Jim when I hauled one of his cars to California a few years ago ...

I bought a case of his hot sauce !

More recently I hauled a station wagon from Oregon to Indianapolis
for one of the guys who works in his shop ...

Everyone makes mistakes - it is how they handle those mistakes that demonstrates their character

Jim is a stand up guy in my book

Happy ending? Wouldn't that include a return of the two parts distributors, or one repaired distributor, or something that made the OP happy? The explanation and admission of guilt is great, and makes Jim a stand up guy. But I think the final step still remains to close the story.

Whatever needs to be settled between Jim and the OP, I'm sure it won't be done here on HAMB court, nor should it be. At this point I'm hoping this thread will just die. I hate to keep seeing the ***le when it sounds like it's going to get worked out. I know, then I shouldn't post on this thread, right? Right! My last post on this thread.
