Got pulled over on i-95 in maryland today doing 85 in a 65. I live in PA, you get five points for that in md. but only 4 points in pa, for going 20 over. Do the points carry over from state to state?
    PS. the fine was $290!!!!!!!

They do in Australia, commit a traffic offense in another state and it goes on your license regardless.

I am not sure they carry over, but likely, especially now with computers. I am originally from MD and still have family there. The state troopers there take speeding pretty seriously and will pull you over quick for speeding and for a lot less than that too. They don't issue too many warnings either. I never got one, only a couple of tickets. I am surprised the fine is only $290. I got a ticket in NC when I lived there and was advised by the trooper to just pay it to avoid having to go back and to minimize the chance MD would be notified. I paid and it asap and it thankfully it never showed up on my MD record.
