so i was staring at my door gaps... and this one was still bugging me.. so OFF with the door and fender! Had to work my hinges a bit.. thats why I had to take the door off..

Look at you go man! is that hinge worn out maybe? Are you going to paint the front end sheetmetal off the car or back on..at this point hang em on saw horses and shoot them off to get all that front cowl in paint too! Do u need me to drive up there?!:D

im sure its worn a bit.. but i got it to behave again :).. i don't think im going to get that crazy and paint with the sheet metal off.. im trying to keep in mind "driver" and in my case here in the desert.. "dirt road driver" :D So im just going to jamb it and spray! most of my engine compartment is black anyways.. plus i have no reason or desire to "pop" my hood at a show to show off that super rare Chevy short block! Oh yeah, you dont need to drive up here.. because ill be driving to your pad cut n' polish time :D

well it was pretty close to begin with.... but the adjustment behind the fender was adjusted all the way in the direction i needed it to go.. i just needed a hair more so i removed the door and fender, and drilled out the holes in the body just a bit where the hinge bolts go.. this gave me the little scoot i needed! not sure it was the best way.. but it all bolted back up and worked.. thats all that matters to me :)

Hey Boones.. im putting the wing windows back in.. it just looks proportionally correct with them back in...just going to take some work because the hardtops are made out of pot metal.. so i have a pair of sedan wing windows im going to modify. The metal is weldable on those..
