  4. I chopped my 55 Caddy hardtop and the vent windows are pot metal. I have cut them down to fit and they have been welded back together and chromed again. It CAN be done

  5. I second the flake scallops idea....

True, i know it can be done.. but from what ive heard.. its a pain in the ass. We'll see, i might go ahead and work with the originals and see what happens.

  16. I sent them a jigged up pot metal frame already cut and fit , the glass band welded but not metel finished. Sherms did all 4 pieces for just under 1k. A bit pricey but they turned out beautiful. Too nice for my car in its in process look so I ran without side glass

Cool!! I took my steering wheel to the body shop today to have repainted, for my 51 sport coupe.... He's painting it white and Lime Rock Green. We'll see how I like that! I sure like it on the hyundai cars...oops! :D

How funny, i looked at that color too! Cool color.. hey our steering wheels will kinda look alike!

I got this one from a buddy.. early 60's Nova.. 16 inch... sanded, fixed a few cracks and primed.. gonna paint in a few days.. Top and bottom green and flaked.. middle section the Vintage white... kind of a cool wheel, i like the center cap.. clean and simple
