Just gonna copy and paste a post I did on the '57 forum: 3 years ago, I replaced my upper and lower ball joints, not because they were bad, but because the boots were split and cracked. I bought replacements from Concourse because they were made in India (not China). I just checked them today, and after 3 years and 25k ish miles, the boots still look new!!! Not a crack to be seen anywhere. I was kinda sad about all the bugs and dirt under there though, lol.
