Has anyone here done the conversion? I have a 53 customline that handles ok but not great. Kingpins are new. I have Aerostar springs etc and everything is lubed as it should be. I have a Jamco swaybar and the steering is adjusted with no play.

I didn’t put a rear sway bar. I may try that first before I shell out. I also think a real alignment would serve me well but there aren’t many places equipped here for that.

Around Phoenix there are a fair amount of Hispanic shops that have some of the older Bear Alignment machines that would be more suited for older cars and trucks rather than the computerized later equipment you might want to look for older shops in your area.

Or try a shop that does big truck alignments. Big trucks still use king pin front ends.
