OK, I don't know about you guys, but I think that most of the bands that play Goodguys shows are pretty lame. They have given me the opportunity to contribute ideas for music. I'd like real responses because this is a real request, and an opportunity for improving the events in our favor.

I need ideas for bands that can play in/on:

    Hershey, PA - May 19-21

    Jacksonville, FL - May 26-28

    Loveland, CO - June 2-4

    Pleasanton, CA - June 3-4

    Indianapolis, IN - June 9-11

    Nashville, TN - June 23-25

    Des Moines, IA - July 30-June 1-2

    Columbus, OH - July 7-9

    Puyallup, WA - July 14-16

    Waukesha, WI - August 18-20

    Spokane, WA - August 18-20

    Pleasanton, CA - August 25-27

Kansas City, KS - September 1-3

    Rhinebeck, NY - September 15-17

    Fort Worth, TX - September 29-30 & October 1

    Charlotte, NC - October 27-29

    Pleasanton, CA - November 11-12

    Scottsdale, AZ - November 17-19

Keep in mind that I am trying to get a "good music" foot in the door, so punk or bands that are too hard won't cut it. Even though I'm not a big rockabilly fan, that and swing are good choices. Not offensive to the grey-hairs, but fun enough for the likes of us to dig. I've submitted the Paladins for Pleasanton. We had the Pendletons play at the last Pleasanton event and everyone dug them.

Potential bands would need to send me a demo tape for consideration.

So, post links to bands if that's all you have. Ideally you are in or are friends with the band and can email or PM me.

BE SURE to tell me what city the band would be good for.

Thanks guys! I'll continue doing what I can to teach an old dog new tricks.

In the midwest WI, IA, KS, maybe IN and OH here are some bands. I would say they are rockabilly/biker bar bands, but they also play some other stuff as well. Check them out!

Dude, if I could get the Supersuckers....damn.

Maybe in a year or two after I prove to them that a good band won't kill them.

    Kirk,

As always the Sore Thumbs are ready to play. As for the Rockabilly/50's stuff I can give you the contact for my friends the Pendeltons. I think they would be an excellent fit.

Hey Alex!!!! Long time no see.

The Sore Thumbs are obviously among my favs but Goodguys isn't quite ready for them yet.

The Pendletons did play at the Goodguys show in Pleasanton a few weeks ago. They rocked and everyone loved them. Old and young. The people here couldn't believe that "kids" got up and danced. Kids being twenty-something.

They are one of the names I've mentioned for Pleasanton. Do you have the contact info. They send me an email every so often, but I can't find one. Thanks.

Hey KIrk, I'm not tryin to take you backwards, but I don't think the Palidin's are still together ( Huge disapointment ) Gonzales is playing with Cris Gaffney and 3 other guys now called the Hacienda Brothers. A little different style but still an excellent band. Hard to beat Gonzales guitar playing and Cris Gaffneys vocals.
I'm not sure what Brian and Thomas are up to. Gary
