Banger Muffler & exhaust?

Looks like banger mania has struck here in Cream Ridge, NJ. I'll very soon be putting a B motor with a vintage OHV head, down draft & CI header in my '31 Deluxe Roadster as well as a T-5. That I believe I have a handle on.

My question to the Banger community here is what folks like for mufflers & exhaust? brand of muffler, diameter of pipe etc...

I have a bunch of cars, I don't drive the loud ones much. While the loud ones seem to get staggeringly bad mileage on staggerlingly expensive fuel, they are also annoyingly loud and or have annoying " drone noise" .

I plan to put some miles on this A and would like a good sounding performance exhaust for it. I was thinking of buying a smithy and getting some 2 1/2" pipe but then thought to inquire here. I'd prefer not to "guess-n-go"

    Thanks!

I ran a straight pipe on mine for awhile but it was to loud. I am now using a 60's Triumph motorcycle muffler. It sounds perfect.
