I purchased this banjo rear a while back. I was told it was a forty. The axles measure about 32 and 7/8 so according to the tardell book it should be from 35-41 but I can't seem to I'd the housing by the spring perch. Any ideas? I am trying to make sure it is what I want for an AV8 and if not, know what it is so I don't sell again to someone else under false pretenses. Thanks!

It appears to be a '41 with sway bar attachment

Yes it would have to be 41 or after , because of the rear sway bar attachment.

Every one I've ever bought was said to be a 40.

Is it either desirable or undesirable because of the sway bar mounts? Any reason you wouldn't use it on a roadster?
