I tried adding to an old post, but it went away very quickly. Say I was gonna build a bong out of a useless banjo center section (46), and wanted to buy some nice button head bolts to hold some covers on each side. What size are the bolts that hold the axle housing on? I tried Home Depot 3/8" coarse and fine and each didn't work. Are my threads just goobered? What tap should I use to clean them up if they are just goobered? By the way, I'm kinda weird, I call clocks "bongs" am I the only one? I am just too stoned from using the "clock" I made out a NOS Stromberg 97 to figure it out?
If you don't get an answer by tomorrow evening I'll check the ones I have apart in the garage. Going to bed now though. JH
Hey Tommy, You're a poet and didn't know it! Mine is just a garden variety Ford banjo "bong". gonna have engine turned aluminum dial, plexi covers, gonna paint something on the outside, haven't decided what yet. Giving it to a someone named One-Eye, (B4 the 8th graders get off the bus... it's not a gay thing... yet, wink, wink*) so I'll probably make up something using an "eye". Has anyone ever seen one with wings? * Though he is a damn fine lookin' 63 y.o. man, what with his eyeball staring at the rafters, 6-8" of plumbers crack at all times, and a smell that could knock a buzzard off a shit wagon.
