banjo rear

    Hi I didn;t know if someone out there would know what these things
    are worth.This one is complete with backing plates ,drums and drive shaft
    tube. It appears to be in really nice shape,also any tips on what to
    look for problem wise.......thanks-Joe

    Depends on what year and gear ratio. $150. to $300. Maybe

    Is there a way to tell what the ratio is? We tried to do it the old
    fashion way .....but it didn't seem accurate- Joe
     
  5. There are numbers stamped on the bottom of the banjo housing, the number are tooth count just divide. Also there will be a number on the turtle (speedo housing on the TT).

    The main thing I look for is the bottom side bearing surface on the tube ends under the hubs if they are good and axles turn freely its likely a good rear
