Hello, I am building a 35 ford coupe and really want to put a 37-39 banjo steering wheel on the stock 35 steering column. I'm not really seeing what I need to do to achieve this so I was wondering if anybody has done this and has any advice? Also wondering if I might have to get a like year steering column to do it? thanks alot for any ideas!

  2. I have a complete 39 column and box with pitman arm. The bake lite is cracked on the banjo wheel. Here are pictures. I would guess a 35 and 39 are the same column and box.

It will go right on your column. This is a 39 on a Deuce column.

Don't get confused by the aftermarket horn ring.

The hard part is getting the 35 wheel off. They can be a bear if it has never been off. They both have a tapered shaft with a woodruff key for mounting.
