Will a 1938 Ford banjo steering wheel work ok with a 1934 steering column? I know the keyed steering shaft is compatible but I want to make sure the wheel will work ok with the column. Also will the horn ****on/light control shaft for a '38 work ok with the existing 1934 mechanism. Basically I want to replace my stock '34 wheel with the '38 wheel and have everything still work. Thanks

I think the taper is the same but the key is 180 degrees different, so the wheel will be clocked differently. Should work though.

The column tubes probably have a different shape at the top. I know 32’s are very slightly tapered, and 40’s are extreme. Maybe you would get lucky and the 38’s haven’t gotten big yet. I’d also think the horn rod is longer on the 38 than the 34.
