put a stock front bumper on it, that'll lower it a another six inches they are so heavy. it'll clear the door easily then.....

  4. Or you could do what I did! Remove 3 courses of block and the poured header, then build a taller door. IMG_2209.JPG

I remember the ALL-day-long affair that was squeezing my COE past the 7 ft OHD...
I didn't just have to let the air out of the tires, I had to remove them, dig 3-4" deep holes for the front discs (abandoned 90's 1-ton swap) to drop into - right up to the door threshold, that got the rear of my cab just low enough to edge in, then jack the back up about 6-9" to wedge the roof crown past the door header, all while dragging the dead weight on the front. That Saturday my wife, the next door neighbor, and one local hot-rodding buddy, all lost any remaining doubts pertaining to my sanity.
Hope yours wasn't quite so dramatic...

my only request when we were looking at houses was the garage had to have a 8 ft door so my 39 would fit.

couldnt u dissasembled the spidle/A-arm to get the spring off?
That way ud get real low to drag it w some furniture dollies
    ..hey wheres the pictures?

My gf and i didnt have that much drama..
I took the bathroom door off,the small hall closet door off then i took an 8' 4×4 and used the door sills as an anchor, wrapped a strap and used it as an chor point to hook my come-along to the coe to pull it up in to the garage...
She checked for clearance while i worked the come-along..

    Thats gotta be nice¡¡¡

yeah I definitely could have gone after the (already cut down) lowered springs, but at the time I was working with limited tools as we had just moved into the house and most of my ****nal was as of then unaccounted for somewhere in my dad's shop...

The first time mine went into the garage I heard the roof go "plunk" as it was 1" too tall. Luckily it did not dent the roof...that was done by the garage door opener arm when I wasn't thinking and lifted the COE with a floor jack under the metal lift arm.
