  1. And If you do buy it to flip it on Ebay I,m sure you would get more if you were willing to help arrange shipping world wide. Not all cash is on this side of the Atlantic.....

    Alright, let's put it this way;
If you are really oblivious to how much this might be worth, fine, I'd offer 9G cash in hand, then come back later with more if necessary. If, however, you are just taunting every hot rod soul with your "Hey, I just found a deuce sedan in a barn and I'd just as soon flip it" story, then may you reap what you sow suckuh.

Where would this country be if someone didn't make a profit off what they had for sale? In this liberal thinking era we've become stuck in it seems that everyone should settle for mediocrity in everything, including the basic premise that free enterprise is founded on.
I'm all for redefining the word RETARDED so some of you backward thinkers can have a pigeonhole to crawl in. For god's sake Al Gore won a Noble Peace Prize. Can you spell DOOMED if we don't get our head out of our ass.

Boy I am glad I got mine last year when they were only $2500.00.

This stuff is better than the stock market.

somewhere between 8-10k in cash with the equipment to take it home right then. Go towards the end of the month... cash always gets low around that time with older folks think soc security.

    I like this thread!!
I'm busy writing names down of the guys saying don't buy and resell so that I can get good deals from these guys when they say that they just bought a rod, parts or bodies that they are now going to sell because it's not what they want or it was too good a deal to pass up.

OK then, this is just about money.

Judging by appreciation rates, it's still smart money to squirrel it away. Even if you're only 1% car guy, why the f*ck would you flip an appreciating asset that happens to be the coolest appreciating asset in the world?

Bullshit has been called twice and still no pics?

  12. These are the same assholes who whine about the stuff I have on eBay that I don't even bother posting here - because I don't want to listen to their bullshit. They can all stuff it up their ass along with their heads - there's nothing wrong with making money. If these guys spent half the time working on cars that they did whining, even something as rough as my buddy's '34 Ford could be a drivavble car by now.

Some of these dumbshits don't realize that other people don't have money falling out of their ass, and when they find that once in a lifetime $500 '32 whatever that they can flip instantly for $10,000, they have this choice: Always have a never finished '32 whatever, or flip it for $10,000 and have a done Model A AND a garage to put the goddamn thing in.

And, if you're so anticapitalism because you have money falling out of your ass, I see no reason to give you any kind of special deal on anything. If you're just a cheap bastard like me, that's a whole other story.

To OP: If the guy's been offered $11,000, the question is, why does he still have it? Odds are you won't be able to offer enough to make money on it because his 15 year old has a computer and already looked on eBay. But research them on there anyways, and if it looks like you can make a few bucks, go for it. Offer lower, wave the cash at him, be prepared to pull more out of another pocket if you have to. Sometimes you can do better with a primer job, or a good cleanup, put a little work into the car (and then some of these clowns will have less to whine about, too).

Guess I can take this part off now.

This thread went all sorts of screwed up. I don't need anyone to tell me whether or not I should buy the car, I was hoping to get some friendly advice on a ballpark value since lots of you are more familiar with 32's. That said, this sure got entertaining! I'm sure all the nay-sayers would feel different if I offered the car up for sale here for a good price. Anyway, yes it is a real car. Yes I am working on buying it. NO I have not bought it yet. NO I am not just teasing folks. I don't need to waste my time on the net to get a rise. (at least not on this site...) Here are some pics if anyone can help me ballpark this thing. Thanks again.

I can't give you anymore advice than the previous guys have, but I say do what you want. If you can rest your head at night, f what others are saying.

Personally I would sell it to finance other projects. Who cares where the cash comes from if you can get what you want on the road.

Either way, good luck with it.

Ya know the going prices on real steel 32's is staggering. The final price is gonna be a demand thing .. Offer the guy the 11k he was offered before and turned down . He wants to sell it not so dtart there.. Set your own high .. The problem is c-dans dont bring near as much as coupe and roadsters in real steel but I love a nice C-Dan.. If i was in the market id prolly pay more than most if its good tin.. Sorry to throw that curve ball in there but thats the way it is.. You shouldnt worry about all the negative comments here its normal.

I guess this is all for nothing. I just found the car for sale on here from a long time ago. Guess it must not be that great of a buy. All you "don't make money, let someone buy it that will appreciate it" guys, it's been for sale on this site for quite awhile. Have at it. To everyone else, sorry for all the hype! The ad on here has a different phone number and states "selling for a friend", so I'm not sure what's going on. ??

Here's a link to the add that's on the HAMB:

    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=223109&highlight=1932+ford

I had another ad (looked like a craiglist cut and paste) emailed to me from a friend in Idaho. The phone numbers are different in the two ads. I've called the number a couple times from the ad that was emailed to me and had no luck. Good luck! This will save me a long trip! I thought the car was in Idaho... Hey Wayfarer, can you clear any of this up for us?
