I love the story!! It's called fate. If you just chill out and wait, and live right of coarse, God will drop it right into your lap.

That made me laugh out loud! Classic. Great car. Thanks for sharing.

  6. Nice! Take a bunch of pics, and then get rid of the fenders and build a hot rod.

Thanks for all the great coments!
When the previous owner was trying to start it, he was puling on the choke, and twisting the knob both clockwise and counter-clockwise. I know that you pull it out to choke it, but had never seen anyone turn a choke knob so I asked him about it. He said he thinks it does something, but doesen't know what.

SO i looked it up in the owners manual, and sure enuff, turning the choke knob adjusts the needle valve on the carb. By turning it in, I got it to lean out. So the pig rich condition was an easy cure! Now, on to the horn honk thing.

How 'bout a compromise, I'd say we'd still call this a Hot Rod:)

Wonderful story. I would keep in touch with the seller and let them know periodically that the car is cared for.

Exactly. It's a GAV, (Gas Air Valve) I believe. Same with a Model A. Mine likes to run around 1/4 open richen the mixture a bit for hills. ENJOY!!
