If anyone is interested, this belly tank (which Bobby Green described as a small, steel P-38) is going to be at a Yard sale in Santa Rosa this weekend, along with what looks like a bunch of other car stuff.

I was thinking about checking it out and maybe wheeling and dealing the right price, but im going to Famoso this weekend and can't make it up to North Bay.

If somebody checks it out, lemme know how it goes and what other goodies this guy had.

I am planning on a Cadillac powerd lakester. The fin will stay, its already painted Cadillac engine blue!

Rockey, That other tank is a good size and very close to the p-38, I have one just like it, although mine has no fin. The fin would be great to leave on a Lakester if you had a big horsepower motor, I'd say 400hp or more, it would be helpful.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

If it is true a P38 tank Did sell on ebay for $25,000 why then are all the other P38 tanks only going up to around $6000. This sounds like bull shit to me.

  6. The tip 'tank' on Neptune's were not a tank at all, they were packed full of electronics and had clear perspex nose cones.
That one looks familiar but all my reference material is packed away right now.
