ok.. Let me start by saying that my wife had said "no" .. Yet we still got it...
    it is a 1960 edsel 2 door sedan {one of 777 ever made}
we got it in a town of 200 or so from a collector who had it in his barn. It has not been modified at all { all orig!} we got her home & in 5 min i had her started.
At the moment i am unsure on what to do with her. We have had some good offers for her, but i see it as a shame to get rid of her. At the moment i have 3 cl***ics in the driveway/ garage {her included} so shes not really hurting anyone. Paperwork is there & she just looks at me... Should i flip her ? Or keep her?? Shes a bit different... But not common ... I have mixed emotions about her.. & have heard many opinions about what to do with her, yet im still unsure...????? Any suggestions??

    Heres some picts....

You need to sell it to me. ;)

I see it with a Los Boulevardos treatment... but simple, basic things like polishing the paint and lowering will go a long way. What an interesting car.

I'd keep it too. Only 777 ever made. I'd say it's a definite keeper.

It's a great car, but it is not a Ford Edsel. Edsel is it's own brand name, like Mercury or Lincoln. You wouldn't say Ford Mercury Cougar. Sorry, but pet peeve.

It's a fairly rare car, and one of my personal favorites. It's totally up to you as to what you do with it, but don't let it sit around. If you have time for it, keep it and get it roadworthy. If you have an offer on it to make some money, and it'll go to someone who'll give it attention, let it go.

I think I would have walked by it thinking it was a Pontiac! Cool car.

Those cars are way cool because you never see them. That back end with the vertical lights looks great as-is. It would be something I'd keep and drive for sure.

Clean it, wheel and tire it, lower it and drive it...
Enjoy it for a while and when the newness has worn off and somebody HAS to have it for an agreeable amount of coin, let it go.

Sorta like Cad LaSalle. That one drives me up a wall also

I'd leave it alone. It's too rare and nice to cut up. Yeah, maybe some wheels and drop it down a bit, otherwise just preserve it and drive it.

I'd try and put it into the hands of somebody that appreciates it and is willing to pay the price for the opportunity to own it.

I'd flip it, but not just to anyone.

Here is one off the web that has www wires chrome skirts. Probably the best looking Edsell because it was a sheetmetal conversion of the 60 Full size Ford.

I don't think I've ever seen one of those. You better hang onto it just because it's so rare and different.

Be a shame not to keep it and get to enjoy some cruises this summer. I say bite the bullet and keep the old gal.

  26. A sweet looking runner like that would be hard to let go of.

Never seen an Edsel without the vertical grille. Thats a cool car!

I'd at least drive it for now, see if she grows on you....... It at least deserves a fair trial

    '60's are NEAT!

    I say keep it.
    Drop it.
    Skirt it.
Skinny whites with chrome reversed wheels with bullet centers.
