Who cares if it's a barn find or not? It's the look the builder was going for. I've seen the car in person. Take it from me, it's spot on.

Find a barn, put your car in it. Get really drunk and forget where your car is. Find it later.

So he has that chopped tan highboy and now he's building one with fenders? I know the one at the start of the thread is John's, but the chopped 3 window is John's too? That's the one I was asking about. And I think the confusion started when the chopped tan car was posted. (post #120 or so)

That car is a Rolling Bones car. It's a "built" car and not a real "barn find".

No, then it would be your "desert find", I don't think we have identified that category yet.

I don't care who built it or where it was found, that east coast coupe just made my pants get tight!

There are so many killer cars out east & here in the good old midwest. My coupe just went to a gentle fellow from New Hampshire, look for it at the Granite State Nationals or a World of Wheels near you.

    Hot rods are fun.

I can't for the life of me figure this fake patina thing out, maybe I have just flat spent too may years with faded out worn out paint or primer to appreciate it. The purple primer on my truck is so damned faded and worn out at the moment that I'm sure some guys would go nuts over it but to me it's wore ***ed out old primer that damned sure needs sanding off and finally decent paint put on in it's place.

Fake is fake and why the hell does someone what to make a spiffy rod look like it was just drug out of a barn this morning unless he is just looking for a way to get attention that he thinks a finished car won't get.

Ya I figured it was a built car, doesn't much matter to me. I'm sure it has tons of era specific parts on it if you wanna get picky. I think they did a great job on the paint and the stance is perfect.

    Well done boys.

That's a far better job than I could do. The car still looks faked though.
