    I'd love to see the build photos!

    I have an arm patch and some entry papers from a friend of mine's running in the derby in '48 in Harrisburg, PA

    and hang some lights under it....nice light fixture...:) Would look cool over a pool table.

    All soap box derby cars weigh exactly the same with driver. You either add ballast weight or remove to make everyone equal. We would switch wheels on the cars and then run the same two cars again to equal out.

  12. thanks for sharing, that is a very neat treasure you have there. post up more pictures, detail stuff, I would love to see how it was made back then.

    My great grandfather who's was an amazing carpenter and wood craftsman made it with my then 8 year old uncle. It's amazing that none of the wood is rotten anywhere. Steering cables are nice n tight, etc
