All soap box derby cars weigh exactly the same with driver. You either add ballast weight or remove to make everyone equal. We would switch wheels on the cars and then run the same two cars again to equal out. Ago

My great grandfather who's was an amazing carpenter and wood craftsman made it with my then 8 year old uncle. It's amazing that none of the wood is rotten anywhere. Steering cables are nice n tight, etc
