I dont get it. If I ask guidance from the experts but then I say that I dont follow rules,How does that work? Why would you ask for directions if you cant and wont follow them?
Some rules shouldn't have to be written. A fellow ought to have enough sense to know certain things, like don't shit in the floor or pee on the furniture when he goes out visiting. Ryan, in his wisdom, wrote it all down though plainly hoping that even total dumb asses like you would either act right or leave. Your time has come to do one or the other.
Geez...get a clue. This is a HOT ROD forum, not a RAT ROD HOLE. We don't like rat rods...they are largely pieces of crap, just tossed together with no thought to safety or clean appearance. Popcorn time is in reference to the blasting you're going to receive because you: A) Have a major problem with proper communiciation - using no periods to end sentences or thoughts, dropping important words that add some cogency to your statement, and not using spellcheck. B) You have spent no time at all determining the thrust/purpose/intent of this forum. We are all about 'traditional' hot rods and custom cars - from the first 'gow job' to around 1964. C) Your intent to just make this car you've found into a Rat Rod shows that you are NOT the sort of individual whose attendance we want to cultivate. If you MUST ruin a nice Model A, go talk about it elsewhere. That attitude is not welcome here. D) Putting that body on a truck frame was a joke, and none of us are surprised that you failed to understand that fact. begone, varlet
Sheesh Bob, read the mans post! No need to worry about ANY of the things you talk about, HE'S DROPPIN' IT ON A TRUCK FRAME MAN! Dont forget to chop it till you cant see out the windshield, throw the fenders and running boards into the dump, and for the love of God man, channel the ever-loving piss outta it! 8-10" of channel should do it, you want the roof about knee high to a 8 yr. old.
The funny thing about this whole thread is the guy won't understand why everyone responded the way we did to his question! He said it himself, he doesn't follow rules or read them. What can we say to educate this poor child, he just doesn't understand what this site is about. Enough said I guess, why waste our time....

Just do what everyone else does, start with a Model A, a bunch of mail order garbage, mixed with a 350/350 combo, and a canaballized S-10. Then get on here and bust everyone's balls everytime they say rat rod. Have fun, and don't forget you're electric fan, and Lokar shifter.

Ok, so obviously English is the dudes second language and like a lot of people he didn't lurke or read the rules. But, I have a new and brilliant idea, instead of treating the FNG like an outcast and acting like a bunch of stand-offish high school clique snobs, why not school him and post some pictures of cool cars and give him the advice he looked for. We were all new guys at one time. Now run along and play nice.
