The evil auction site [eBay] makes some good reading. Search the completed auctions to see what things are selling for.

The NADA price guide is on-line. Search google for it.

I am a member of the MSRA [MN Street Rod ***ociation] and get the LineChaser every month. First thing I do is read the for sale ads in the back.

Once you get a feel for the price of a car then throw it all out the window. Everyone thinks their junk is worth Barrett Jackson prices. Seriously get a feel for the going prices. Then figure out how much your budget will allow. I looked at a lot of turds before I honed in on a solid car.

I got a killer deal on my Tudor. I paid more than I had planned but it is much more of a car than I expected to drag home. It took me 3 visits before we agreed on a price and it took close to 4 months before the seller located a clear ***le and money changed hands.

Everything could have fallen apart in that time. I had the at***ude that if it did there would be another.

I built up a relationship with the seller. He knew my plans for the car and I feel because he liked the direction I wanted to take it he made sure that I was the one to purchase it.

I have a '29 Ford roadster pickup stored in a barn. It's been there 19 years. Before that it was in another barn for 12 years. I've been moving it around since I quit driving it in 1969. I suppose I should do something with it, some day.

They are still out there. Good score on the Chevy find! And it does pay to have cash in hand when you go to the barn to make the deal.

Found a 57' T-Bird, complete car that had been in a shed for over 10 years, friend bought it and it is about ready to go to the paint booth. the car is complete and the interior in in great shape. The barn next to the shed had about 15 other cars, but they were all sold by the time we got the word on the Bird.

Flatoutflyin, I want to thank you for waiting/helping the seller! My friend did buy her 3 Norton motorcycles, two on Wednesday Aug 27th & just went back for the 3rd. He called & sent quite a few pics of the Corvette & Airflow on Wednesday.

Airflow is a nice car, Corvette had new front clip & replacement rear section from doors back. Maybe wrecked enough to need front & rear sections? Would take alot of work to make it a nice car.

Thanks again for being a stand up kind of guy, not everyone would have taken the time to protect the seller like you did!!
