Barn (garage) find '40 Ford... they're still out there!

    That is a great story. Your neck of the woods does have some barn finds. A customer of mine here in Marin scored a really straight, original Model A Tudor a month or so ago over in Livermore I believe. Like your pal, he's a real car guy. Had two old 356 Porsches that he and his wife drove as daily driver's for years, he did a really nice resoration on a '48 Chevy woodie that they drive all over the place, so he knows his stuff.

    He had his eye on this one for quite a few years, it had been sitting in a barn/garage for years. The old guy was gonna restore it, never got around to it, p***ed away and his heirs sold it. This car is really nice, no rust that I could find, etc, etc. I offered to buy it off him and ruin it, but no go. He's gonna keep it pretty stock, wants to upgrade brakes to make it more of a driver. I was suggesting a 5 speed ******, saw someone selling a kit for that.

    Anyways, real nice score, as was my customer's deal. Folks, the cars are still out there, just gotta keep those ears open.
