    Howdy Kiddies,

Well, I finally got time to sit down with the two piles of pieces and do a bit of serious fitting and looking (you wouldn't believe what my time's been like lately ).

Upshot of it's a definite "mea culpa". When I put'er back together this year I added a bit of travel to the clutch linkage, it'd been just "that much" too short and we'd been living with it. One of those minor problems that kept getting put off to address more important stuff.

The amount of pedal travel I added was enough, to say the least.
"If this's good more'd be better, right?"
I didn't see the need for a pedal stop though, just don't push it too far, right?
    I can manage that, right?
    Ri-i-i-i-ight.
Both breaks were due to over travelling the fingers and forcing the twisting of the pressure plates while mildly overheated. That's why the tach made no difference (except to the amount of damage). Also, it appears to've been a ***ulative thing and took more'n once to finally break'em. The 10" being a larger (torsionally weaker) circle, went sooner.

OK Kiddies, who can guess which car's getting a nice (adjustable) clutch pedal stop before it hits the strip again?

Still need to figure out the timing sprockets thing ............ :(

And I need more days in the week, dammit.
