Barnett Jalopy...BIG THANKS to AntiC, Crease & Sandman!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by BARNETT, Nov 30, 2003.

  1. Started on the jalopy frame and general build-up, today! Absolutely could NOT have done ANY of it without Crease, AntiChrysler or Sandman. Damn I'm stupid. [IMG] The weather was great, Crease brought tacos and everything started to fall into place after a bit of planning, sketching and visualizing. I had some serious fun...real cool hanging out with friends and AND getting something accomplished....something I don't know anything abbout, no less! Still haveta get the rearend and then it'll be time to finish the frame and start attaching stuff. Here's some pics... hope ya'll aren't too bored with it all, but I'm stoked as hell!

  11. Dan thanks for having me over. Good therapy since I'm between garages right now. Let me know when the next thrashing is going down, and I'll bring the cold ones. Shit, give you guys some coffee and the stuff that comes out of your mouths is hilarious. Had a great time. See you.

Right on! Not only do you build hot rods in the living room, you chop metal with your wood saw. You are making the frame out of metal, right? [IMG]

Hey Dan-o, you want some shag carpet for the Freak-on-a-line? I've got some the right color that Mrs. Fatluckys says I have to throw away.

Man the ride looks great. Love the inline. I am building up a "T" roadster truck myself. Just cool to see others in the same neck of the woods doing similar stuff. I would love to lend a hand some time as well. I made my frame, and will post some photos pretty soon. Hell, who needs photos, you are in the same town! No reason not to lend a hand, I've got two. Here's Barnett's wicked flame job!!!!

Just kidding, it was actually flamed by one of the famed one armed, blind, drunk chimpanzees, so common down here in Texas. They chop tops too ya know?

  21. Man, I knew those flames (talk about using a term loosely!) were gonna haunt me. I gotta get those things offa there..QUICK! I should take a pic of the tail lights...I think the same guy musta done that job, too. It really makes you wonder what goes on in some people's minds. ???

FatLucky's...how much carpet and what color? And why, exactly, do YOU have shag carpeting?! [IMG]

Looking good there, Dan. Keep working on it and before you know it a finished car will be driving down the street.

  24. Thanks, Terry...if I'm not careful, I just might get it on the road! [IMG]

Harrison...I want to talk to you, this week about the wishbones. I'll p.m. you to iron out some details. Thanks.

Yeah we're pretty darn lucky to have other traditional hot rod freaks around. SA has a huge car scene, but there's just a hand full into the "good stuff".

    Fat Luckys,
That's what I said at first but that little sombitch went through .120 wall 2x3 like Barnett goes through foo foo coffee and one shot!

Onre thing I forgot to mention. Not only is AntiC a talented fabricator and welder, he bakes carrot cake like no straight man should.

Crease, I am starting to be a real no show artist. Barnett's car is looking pretty cool.

The guy who puts on the Pig Stand swap meet asked if Blain could wear his Jordasche Jeans and his pink members only jacket to the next swap meets.

    Good seeing you today.

Oh man, that hurts! Actually, I was wondering if I was ever gonna get to it. AntiC is the big instigator...he just kinda TOLD me that while they were down for T-Day, we were gonna work on the jalopy. I'm not one to make waves or cause problems, so I went along with it. [IMG]
