we have just lost a true piece of American history and one of the greatest innovators of the lakes, a very sad day. RIP
I have a Navarro intake for my flat motor hanging on the wall, we will never forget what he has done for hot rodding. R.I.P Barney
This world is a better place because of him, and a bit more lonely because he's gone. Godspeed Mr. Navarro.
Im sorry to hear of his p***ing .He returned a phone call to me once and his name was on the caller i.d. I saved it for a long time just to show people that a hot rod pioneer had called my house R.I.P. Mr Navarro
He was the very first Technical Editor at Popular Hot Rodding magazine. When I became the Tech Editor at PHR, I looked it up to see who had the job before me. I about fell over when I went to Vol.1, Issue 1, and saw Navarro's name there. As much of a loss as this is, can you think of many folks who lead a better life? Barney did what he loved and was so good at it, he was able to make a living at it for decades. No regrets. A life well-lived. A sterling reputation. RIP Amigo. You won the game of life! ~Scotch~
