Its pretty nasty here....The wind is very strong but the hard rains have not hit yet, they are saying the next wave of rain will hit around 11pm or midnight. I live south of westworld in Chandler about a half mile from Pratts showroom.

Hopefully the storm holds off until 10pm, It wouldnt surprise me if the fire department shut the auction down if that tent gets to rockin.

the weather man is still saying 70 MPH gusts of wind later tonight.

I just pulled up the radar. Looks like there's some heavy stuff over around Suprise, and moving around the north side, Peoria and Glendale. Also saw where Brewer declared the whole state under a Emergency. Tornado watch till 10. Bad stuff there tonight.

This would be a good night to be at the English pub there on North Central, doing some bench rodding with a brew in hand.:D

She didn't inherit it, her dad just sold the company before he went to jail, and gave it to the kids before the feds tried to get any of it.

I live in Chandler as well. What is Pratts Showroom ?

  10. The older gentleman that has always been beside Tammy Allen is her father, Bill Allen, who reported Tuesday to serve a three year prison stretch. Google has interesting stuff on the family.

I believe he is talking about where Ron Pratte keeps his cars.

Ron Pratte is the one that brought the crosley fire truck for $110,000(with commission).

He brought the supersnake a few years ago for 5 million and the futureliner bus for 4 million.

He is a big spender there but he does donate to alot of charities too.

I've sold him a few things off of ebay and he has treated me well.

I do wonder what the-roadster would do if he got the $30M. I'd personally be bidding against 'zooma for the funnycar. If bein a man-ho would get me that dough... I'M IN!!!!

I was stunned at the Nova money, wow. I do believe I saw that car all apart in Dearborn at a Nova convention (?) in 98 or 99. Something about being an ultra rare triple black, it was in process and for sale at $35K when that was a lot of money for a finished one. I don't like Novas so I have no expertise to share.

Two of the Russo Steele auction tents were blown away and landed on the near by 101 freeway. One person hurt.
Our storm is really bad and they say might have had a tornado near Barrett- Jackson auction as i write. I'm about 5 miles south of that location and the storm is headed north east. John

I dunno, If my father wast just sent to jail for conspiracy, bribery, tax fraud, etc, and the money given to me was the result of his actions...

I'd be rather ashamed, but evidently you live by a different set of rules.

  16. Just got home from B-J and some damn nice cars were there, but the weather was taking its toll! even the highway (I-10) was closed because of storm related crashes.......I had a great time and saw alotta cool cars and even met some people buying a car just to have fun in and yeah he had a gold chain so what he was havin fun,Couldnt find Tammy Allen or Denise but DID meet Amy Asiter what a cutie and she looks much better in person kinda got that spinner thing going on .well enjoy some of the shots a couple might not be HAMB friendly but I liked them.....more to come in a minute

  18. OK and heres the strange stuf I kinda liked and hated you guess which is which. And just so you guys that dont see the complete deal, what you see on TV is NOT the complete show and auction, alotta normal guys were buying cars for decent prices you just dont see that on tv very much and everybody there seems to have fun,its truly a EVENT! I couldnt get alot of the pics I wanted because they had them covered because of the rain.........

Did you see the Ford PU last night with the blower and everything chrome? Had a stained glass tailgate.shitty 80's wheels , sold for like 50K. the chrome would have cost damn near that much. The wheels KILLED that truck. Different wheels would have fetched that truck some more $$

That WAGON..was nice..as was the black Hardtop..

But I really liked the Estate Wagon.

Price was less than a loaded Suburban..

I didn't do it. I'll assume I wouldn't know about it (since it's a fantasy anyways). And I wouldn't be ashamed at all. I'd be a proud man-ho:cool: Hate the game not the player...

Back on topic, I think last nite was a good sale despite the unfortunate weather conditions. The Buicks were a bargain. I like the prices on the early "X" frame Chevs too.

I watched last night again. I could not believe that that ridiculous pink Jeep (Red Skeltons) went for $70K and then that BEAUTIFUL 57 Buick Wagon sells for $28K. Maybe I just don't get it.......

  26. I missed this one but did a triple black 67 Nova SS sell for 137,000. Wow, was it one of the few 67 L-79's? Or did it get caught in a bidding war? Whatever the story I'm smiling as I have the twin to it which I have owned since 1970. Maybe the guy who got outbid would be interested!:). I have to find out about that lot number.
