My buddy went and he said it was all junk...kitchen sinks and lamps and just pure junk...Complete waste of time....
I,ll admit there was a ton of crap there this weekend....I did pick up some trim for my 57 that was nicer than what I had.Looked for some 49 F1 fenders but no luck there.Dropped off some trim for fellow Hamber 57Dodge and made his day.Met up with a lot of fellow vendors I have met over the years and shot the shit.Bought my wife some antiques and made her real happy if you know what I mean! Haney is letting the market go to the toilet and he is jacking the rates to make up for lost ticket sales. Too bad....I really enjoy it there.
I heard Hanney sold the place to the "socks and rug" group?.. He also has a similar business in Ark..last i heard.. Glad i don't go there anymore...don't miss his rants.."good morning vendors, this is Donald"... Bleed out the vendors, and screw the potential buyers at the gate.. yep..welcome to Barrie !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rick =======================================
Glad I didn't go, maybe Waterdown (right in my backyard). I kinda miss the guy who sounds like Pat Paulson on the PA system though . . .
I went looking for a '51 Ford LH parking light, '50 Ford rear bumper and '49 Chev license bracket. I found the parking light and bumper. I'm happy. You don't have to stop and look at the toaster ovens, you know.
I had a good weekend Vending in Barrie. Came home with more money then when I left so I can't complain.I stayed True to Form and Only sold Vintage Automotive Stuff. Nothing newer then early 60's I guess. And 1 old Coke Cooler. A big thanks again to Ratmotor For Bringing Down those Trim Pieces For my truck , Made my day! Glad I found a good home For that case of beer Since I couldn't Drink it.... Haney Cant Do this Forever but I hope he didnt Sell the Place to the" Sock Vendors" HA. And like Eaglebeak said you dont have to Stop and look at hte toaster ovens or buy them for that matter. I did pick up some much needed Engine Parts as well For my Truck. And a not so needed WW2 Allied Helmet for $5, I wore it Around all day Sunday, Had a blast.
I found a ton of stuff I needed for cheap. I always do pretty good at Barrie. I got: 55' Chevy splash pan, the lower fenders, lift gate, 2 door wagon window moldings, hood latch assembly and brace, 57' pontiac quarters, a 57-59' Ford 9", some Cragars, and some tools. I think I spent about $400 there....
Glad you are happy with the parts. I actually dropped off that case of beer at the guys house who gave you the trim. He was working under a truck when I pulled in and his eyes lit up when he saw the beer! Didn,t take him long to put it on ice... I,ll be back vending in the spring so drop on bye! In the meantime cya on the HAMB!
