Insted of crusin out to the Kreaturs show I'll be at the shop packing up all the pre-sale orders.. We have some here at the shop if any of you Austin locals want to pick one up...

Just got done watching both dvd's.Loved it .Lots of great pictures.

 

The mailman just dropped it off about 2 hours ago!!!!! Going to watch in about an hour with my daughter. She is 6 and think more excited then me!!!

 

Sweeeeeeeet!!! I'm so stoked that everyone in getting to finally see it..
I gotta thank Brett Barris for giving me the project and the Dynotones for
there hard work on Scoring the DVD.. It all worked out in the end!!

Just got done watching disc one...gotta say it is outstanding...the interviews are cool, the style is awesome, the history is super interesting, the back and forth with Watson and Barris are entertaining, funny and informative...gave me an insight into Mr. Barris that I previously never had...another winner from Evel

 

Piero you really outdid yourself this time!!! I just got done watching the first disk and I cant believe how amazing it is. Everything is perfect the music in the background the commentary between Watson and Barris... Simply the best Dvd ever... Some great info in there too..Pics that I have never seen too...

So when is the next DVD coming out?

I watched about 15 minutes the other night and it was really awesome to see the cars so big and to see where Barris shot some of our favorite cars. Can't wait to watch the rest tonight Evel!!! Thanks dude.

Again let me know when that laser disk comes out or the sound track on a tape so I can listen to the Dyno Tones on my walkman!!!

Well Volume 6 in next on the list and it won't be out for a bit.. I still need to get move to
Austin and get all set up.. then I can start filming... it won't be till middle of 2010.. But I
got some good stuff lined up...

I cant wait for vol 6 ... I watched the Barris dvd again last night...

 

I got the DVD in the mail on Saturday, since then there has not been a day that I did not watch it, or at least parts of it.
There is so much new photo material on these two DVD's... Its incredible. Thank you Piero, for putting this together, and thank you George Barris for taking all those wonderful photos back then, and never dumping these contact sheets. Thanks to George and Brett for allowing Mad Fabricators to shoot these contact sheets. With is huge volume of photos this is a very important historical document.

I have a few "complaints" to... Personally I would haven shot each contact sheet photo perfectly level, and as sharp as possible, and not with the moving sheets and other movements. And have left of the Barris Logo's that interfere with some of the cars in the photos.
And perhaps I would have shot the live coverage with a regular lens instead of the fish eye lens used now....
But then I realized my version of this movie would have been VERY boring, and nobody would have watched it except a few documentalists... And for sure nobody would have been as enthusiast about this DVD like it is now.

So the final conclusion is... its perfect.

And hopefully - as they have been mentioned before in other related posts - the book(s) with this material will happen and then I can have my own "boring" version.

 

I got mine yeaterday thanks very much...One problem tho...it ended....I want more...MAN IT WAS*****ING AWESOME.....(sorry to swear) HUGE BARRIS FAN HERE....Keep up the good work...
